How to create an Account in Glide

Sign up with your Google account.

If you don't have a Google account create one.

Suppose you have a Gmail id (example: abc123@gmail.com), then you have an account in Google, so you won't need to create it. You can directly sign in using your Gmail id.

Step by Step Guide

Step 1: After Sign up, you will see an interface like this.

From this, you can pick a spreadsheet or select templates concerning your choice.

Step 2: Before selecting your template (contain templates related to education, HR, health, planning, social media, and many more), you would be aware of 

• Purpose of your web application (suppose I need to create a website for note sharing, I need to choose related to that for the first time, or else you can customize it)

• What all things it should include (example: location, Names, pictures, additional data, etc.)

Step 3: When you select your suitable template, you can see two options whether you can copy the app for free or else you can see a preview of that app.

I prefer you to view the preview because it recommends whether the app is suitable for the user's perspective.

Step 5: On the left side, On the menu click the layout bar and select your style, data, and the default view.

On the Row bar, you can edit all pages in the app.

In the Data bar, can easily edit the details concerning your wish.

Select your theme, color, topography in the settings bar.

In the Settings bar, there is a section for edit passwords and privacy details.

You can optimize your Spreadsheet with the aid of Glide software. To do so, pick an appropriate Spreadsheet and edit it, and it will renew the data in your web app. You can design new app pages with the aid of new sheets in the same file.

Creating new pages

Arranging pages in a proper way is an important task. But in glide creating new pages is simple through these steps:

• Edit the new page name (example: contact us), connect the data source, and pick a perfect icon.

My Personal Experience

As an electronics engineering student, one of my dreams is to make an android app on my own. But I don't have that much knowledge to develop an application as I am solely a beginner in the software field. So I look for a shortcut to achieve my desire. Eventually, I found glide. When I practice it for the first time, I use and study most of the components and made an app in a few hours.

I repeat experts (practice makes you an expert) in glide, can able to make an app in 5 minutes. For the first time, it takes time.

• I don't recommend people to use glide for high complexity works. 

• We can't do more customization in its layouts, text, and color.

• One of the limitations is for the paid version holds only 25,000 data rows per sheet.

• The chat function couldn't work well.

For making basic MVP's, Glide is a better option.

Bonus Tip

Sometimes you couldn't receive a more favorable output for your work, although you can acquire something extra from that one. 

Just do a try in glide and move your step forward.
